Founded in 1997 and based in Annacotty, Co. Limerick, Serosep has evolved from a diagnostics distributor into an internationally recognised developer and manufacturer of innovative diagnostic solutions designed to enhance laboratory workflow and efficiency and support improved patient outcomes.
Serosep operates internationally with sites in Ireland (headquarters & manufacturing) and the United Kingdom, including dedicated training facilities and laboratories in Crawley and an R&D laboratory in Exeter. Serosep expanded its international activities through the acquisition of its South African partner Pro-med Diagnostics (Johannesburg), strengthening commercial reach and customer support in key export markets.
Serosep now employs 127+ people across R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, commercial operations, and customer support, exporting across five continents with sales in 35+ countries.
Serosep’s portfolio includes CE-IVDR and UKCA/MHRA cleared products, reflecting strong regulatory expertise and supporting access across the EU, UK and other regulated international markets. Key proprietary brands include EntericBio®, HistoPot® and Precision®.
Serosep has received multiple industry recognitions, including Irish Medtech Company of the Year (2021) and Great Place to Work® certification (third consecutive year in 2025).
