Program Management of a team developing a Device to reduce risk of diabetic foot ulcers.

Managing a team of Electronic, Mechanical and Quality Engineers in the latter stages of their Design Verification through NPI to early stages commercial release with a contract manufacturing facility.

Concept to Chronic Animal

In this project Cocoon provided strategic direction and network contacts to a entrepreneur looking to develop a medical device concept and secure funding by bring the idea through to a successful Chronic Animal study. This device was prototyped, tested, sterilized and packaged. Place in vivo within 12 weeks and on budget.

Program Management through Design Control

Cocoon have been working with this client for almost 18months. We initially developed their Packaging through to Packaging Validation, but then supported the team through its product development life cycle. Cocoon encouraged the client not to sub contract early stage manufacturing but rather build inhouse, develop the process and retain the knowledge. They are now on course for commercial release in 2024.
