Ceroflo is an Irish medical device company headquartered in Galway, founded by experienced stroke clinicians who have spent their careers at the front line of neurovascular care and successful Irish medtech entrepreneurs. The company is developing the SubMax™ intracranial stent system for the treatment of intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) — one of the most challenging and undertreated causes of stroke worldwide, and a condition for which current interventional options remain limited.

Stroke is among the leading causes of death and long-term disability globally, and ICAD carries a particularly high risk of recurrence despite best medical therapy. Ceroflo's mission is to change that trajectory: by combining clinical insight with purpose-built engineering, the company aims to give physicians a safer, more predictable way to restore and preserve intracranial blood flow, and to reduce the human and economic burden of recurrent stroke at global scale.

The company is pursuing a multi-regional regulatory strategy and has advanced SubMax™ into first-in-human clinical use.
