FitzMac Modular Fire Test

January 2025 - December 2025

Boylan Consulting partnered with FitzMac to develop a 60-minute fire-rated wall system, tested at Efectis UK. Our scope included full compliance with Parts A, B, E, and L, detailed technical drawings, and expert thermocouple placement to ensure precise data capture during testing. The system was assessed against the three critical pillars of fire performance: R - Stability – maintaining structural capacity under fire conditions. E - Integrity – preventing flame and hot gases from passing through the wall. I - Insulation – limiting heat transfer to the unexposed side. The wall achieved 80 minutes fire resistance, 20% beyond the target as requested by the FitzMac while maintaining acoustic, thermal, and structural performance. This result reinforces FitzMac’s commitment to quality and Boylan Consulting’s recognised expertise in fire engineering and integrated design solutions.

Procon Modular Classroom Whole Life-Cycle Embodied Carbon Assessment

August 2025 - September 2025

Boylan Consulting completed a Whole Life-Cycle Embodied Carbon Assessment for Procon Modular Ltd on a 568 m² two-story school. Following EN 15978:2011 standards and using INDICATE software, we analyzed life-cycle modules A1–C4 over a 50-year period. This study provides a carbon baseline to ensure benchmark compliance and guide future low-carbon design and procurement.

Cpac Kishoge Education Unit, Dublin

September 2023 - March 2025

Boylan Consulting served as the Design Certifier for the Kishoge Education Unit in Dublin, a 3,500 m² two-story facility that stands as Ireland’s first permanent 3D volumetric modular school. Our team ensured full compliance with Building Regulations through the management of ancillary certification. Despite a highly challenging delivery schedule, the project was successfully completed in March 2025, meeting all budgetary and timeline requirements.
