Basic Info

CropBiome is an agricultural biotechnology company specializing in developing beneficial microbial products to support sustainable agriculture, enhance productivity and combat climate change.

Our mission is to reduce chemical inputs in farming through the application of our products to deliver more resilient crops, improve food security thought increased yields and protect the environment.

We are developing fungal endophytic seed coating inoculants which act as bio-stimulants to improve crop resilience, reduce nitrogen application and improve drought tolerance.

CropBiome has developed a unique discovery platform to recover and isolate endophytes from wild plant species that are closely related to mass-produced wheat and other cereal crops, and apply them to commercial crops. This platform can be adapted and used for other crops.

The current focus of our targeted research is on cereals: wheat, barley and oats, with products in these crops closest to commercialisation. We have demonstrated their effectiveness in field plot trials in different geographies in Europe.

We will supply to large agri-distributors that have established distribution networks.

Why work with us

What differentiates CropBiome is our innovative use of naturally occurring fungal endophytes to enhance improve plant health and resilience, harnessing the power of microbes derived from Wild Crop Relatives (WCR’s). Our precision solutions are tailored to the needs of specific crops and designed to meet the needs of modern agriculture.

This biological approach is different to traditional chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Our products are not bio-engineered or genetically modified. They are based on rigorous scientific research in collaboration with credible academic institutions and are proven to deliver results
